Considered as one of the oldest surviving structures in Florence, Torre della Pagliazza dates back to Byzantine times but also has roman roots. Today, the tower, now part of the hotel “Brunelleschi”, houses an archeological museum in its basement floor containing excavated ruins of a Roman bath as well as ceramics dating back to the 4th and 5th century.
The wordmark translates the notion of the underground museum lying beneath the existing tower.
